Time flies when you're having fun! That must be what happened this year, because in the blink of an eye your kindergartners grew into first graders! I don't want to let them go, but I've heard some of the fun things you have planned for this summer and I can't go with them into first grade, so I guess I'll just savor the last 2 days I have with them.
There is no newsletter this week, but I will let you in on a few things we will be doing. We'll hear 2 more of Jesus' Parables, play a shape making activity, and the night sky in math (I will be sending some home for you to do if you choose). Computers, Library, Spanish, and Art will be the only specials this week as there is no Friday. A special chapel will be held for the end of the year (you're welcome to join as always Thu.10:00-25). Other activities for reading and writing will be happening involving, white crayons, class made watercolors, a mysterious book, and a black light. (Please keep reading and writing over the summer like crazy! Your kids are growing like mad right now and we want to challenge their minds.) Aside from that, we'll be editing our how-to books to share with you at our end of the day popsicle picnic on Thursday (sibs welcome:)) I'll have popsicles for everyone! We'll be out under the big trees between the playground and the baseball fields right after art (2:10). We'll finish up the day celebrating their writing!
I'm working on yearbooks for your kids (please keep it a secret. I'd like them to be surprised). If you see pictures you'd like just let me know, and I'll get them to you. Better yet, if you have a thumb drive, I can compress the pics and give it to you that way.
Be blessed! Thank you for such an amazing year, and lets finish strong and get you off to a good start learning during the summer months:)
